Hello everyone! Sorry for my tardiness in blogging, you would be amazed at my hectic schedule! Every morning I start my day in a meeting at 6:30 and I am in training until, many times, 11:30 that night. This past week we have been just starting out our training with dance classes, teachings/lectures, and rehearsals. The dance classes are fun for me, it is really cool because the classes are held in what looks like one of the shelters at a park…it is a roof and no walls. It is nice, especially because many of our rehearsals are held at about the time the sun sets so I always get to see the beautiful, South African sunset as I dance. The sunsets are amazing here; they are cool because they are consistently beautiful, every evening is different, but always stunning!

The teachings are good…that is where most of the Spiritual aspect of training comes in. Many times the sessions are intense, convicting, and profound, it is sometimes difficult because it is hard to see sin, but it is so worth it. C-Kruiz/13th Floor makes the training very intense because ministry is often difficult and they want us to be ready for it.

The team has gotten very close in the past couple weeks. We have gotten to the point where we are around each other 24/7 and we know it’ll be like that for the next 10 months so we don’t hide things from each other. We pretty much are close enough that we know each others secrets, life stories…the good, the bad, and the ugly…it’s good, I love them all.

I will keep you informed as much as possible, the internet works differently here, it’s not unlimited, so I have to be careful about getting online a lot.

Please continue to pray for this ministry. Please pray for our team as we grow closer, also pray that we will continue to get bookings for our tour. Also please pray for safety as we have had a couple break-in attempts in the past week. Thank you so much!

I love you all so much and I can’t wait to get e-mails from you all (hint, hint)!

First Blog in AFRICA

Hello from South Africa!!! I am here and I can’t believe it! I’m sorry that I have not updated since I’ve been here but my schedule has been extremely full. For the past 4 days I have actually been out in the African wilderness for team building. When I think of team building, I think of something like cheerleading camp. Everyone gets together and does fun little activities to become friends. This team building was hardcore. This was like, out in the wilderness, no tents, only food you cook over an open fire, no toilets, only bathed once in a river…oh, did I mention it’s FREEZING in Africa at night. I sound like I was absolutely miserable and I’m not gonna lie, I was. I also had a great time though. I climbed a mountain and repelled down a cliff on the other side, then climbed back up the steep side of the mountain to go back down on the other side, I saw baboons, over come a huge fear by sitting on a small raft, being cold and wet for about 3 hours. Amanda, I saw a South African sunrise and sunset every single day since I’ve been here. They send us on this camp so we can really become close. It definitely worked. I now have some very close friends here who I can’t wait to spend the year with!

Yesterday, we finally got back to the C-Kruiz base and still had to wash cars and tarps and FINALLY got a shower. It was good. Since then we’ve been doing castings and things to get ready for our shows.

I am learning so much and growing so much. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!!!!!!
